This research paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the worrying growth of rape culture in India. The paper examines the various cultural, social, and economic factors that contribute to the prevalence of rape and sexual violence against women in India. The study draws on a range of literature and data sources, including academic research, government reports, media articles, and social media trends. The research paper identifies the patriarchal culture and gender-based violence as the primary causes of rape culture in India. It highlights the need for legal reforms, stringent law enforcement, and social awareness campaigns to address this issue effectively. The study also explores the impact of recent social movements such as #MeToo and #TimesUp on public discourse around rape culture in India. The research paper concludes that while progress has been made in recent years to address rape culture in India, much more needs to be done to create a safer and more equal society for women. The paper offers several recommendations for policymakers, civil society organizations, and individuals to work together to eradicate rape culture in India.
