Abstract

The legal performance of employees has become critical for modern business development. The microfinance banking sector in Pakistan has failed to ensure the legal performance of employees. The customers are continuedly complaining about the illegal working of employees to the top management of the microfinance banking sector in Pakistan. The study aims to determine the impact of economic citizenship, ethical citizenship, and legal citizenship on employee legal performance in the microfinance banking sector of Pakistan. Based on a Likert scale questionnaire, this study has collected a sample of 300 employees of the microfinance banking sector with a simple random sampling technique. The study concludes the impact of economic citizenship, ethical citizenship, and legal citizenship is significant on employee legal performance in the microfinance banking sector of Pakistan. The theoretical and practical implications of this research enriched the literature and top management priorities to improve the legal performance of the employee. The limitations of this research have a remarkable way for researchers to contribute to the literature.
